Bob Thomas, a dedicated 5th-degree black belt in the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation, is offering a one-hour introductory Tai Chi class. Since 2000, Mr. Thomas has been a devoted student of Senior International Master Christian Klacko, and he currently serves as a Certified Instructor within the federation. Mr. Bob Thomas has also been training with Dr. Peter Wayne, founder of Tree of Life Tai Chi, and is actively pursuing his teacher certification, which he hopes to complete in 2026. In this introductory class, participants will engage in a variety of warm-up exercises, including pouring, swinging, and drumming, as well as spinal cord breathing and flexibility routines. The session will explore coordinated movements such as “withdraw and push,” “wave hands like clouds,” and “white crane spreads its wings.” Tai Chi emphasizes active relaxation and natural, free breathing, making it an enriching experience for both beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Science Program in User-Centered Design, Graduate Professional Studies, at Brandeis University. Previously, he was Director of User Research at Liberty Mutual Insurance. His background includes user experience research, graphic design, and product management. He has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. He holds an MS in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University and an MBA from Suffolk University in Marketing and International Business.
